About Kilobytez
A Prosper, TX-based financial technology consultancy specializing in trading infrastructure.
Our Story
Kilobytez was founded to solve a problem we saw repeatedly in financial services: firms struggling to find experienced technologists who understand both the technology and the domain.
Too often, companies are forced to choose between expensive enterprise vendors who don't understand their specific needs, or generalist developers who lack the financial expertise to build robust trading systems.
We built Kilobytez to be different. Our team consists exclusively of senior engineers who have built production trading systems at hedge funds, prop trading firms, and exchanges. When you work with us, you get direct access to people who have done this before.
Based in Prosper, we're positioned near the heart of America's emerging financial hub. With TXSE launching in July 2026, Texas is becoming a major center for capital markets—and we're here to support that growth.
Why Dallas?
Texas is becoming America's financial hub. The Texas Stock Exchange launch window is July 2-17, 2026, and the exchange is headquartered in Dallas. Major financial institutions are relocating operations. We're here to serve this growing ecosystem with local expertise and institutional-grade technology.
How We Work
AI-assisted speed, human engineering judgment
Kilobytez uses AI tools as leverage for research, planning, scaffolding, refactoring, documentation, and testing. The final responsibility stays with human engineers who review the architecture, code, security, data flow, edge cases, dependencies, and deployment path.
AI Acceleration
Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, and similar tools can help explore options, draft code, generate tests, and document systems faster.
Human Review
Production code is reviewed by humans for correctness, security, maintainability, accessibility, and fit to the business workflow.
Risk Controls
Sensitive data, customer-facing output, financial workflows, and operational decisions get explicit review points.
Clear Handoff
Projects ship with documentation, runbooks, deployment notes, and monitoring where the system requires ongoing care.
